There's nothing wrong with automating an install, it's just a matter of how [Quoted] much effort you want to put into accounting for every exception that could happen along the way. Sometimes, it's just simpler to assign the task to an [Quoted] admin, such as verifying installation requirements, running scripts, resolving conflicts, etc. In the end it's really up to your customers and what they want.
