Have you tried using the command line version of export? If so, what impact/effect? The command line (or DOS box) version is $ORACLE_HOME/bin/exp or %ORACLE_HOME%/bin/exp.exe

It would be appreciated if you could provide additional information - operating system, whether any patches have been applied to the database (or is this the downbloaded copy), and so on.
