I first used Oracle*CASE & SDE - designer's forerunner - in 1988. Since then I have heard about the impending demise of the tool and it's successors at least once every two years, both from inside and outside the company. Ain't happened yet!
And Open/Oracle World always has a few impressive displays on the product - you might want to check there (nowadays OW is also mostly available online as well ... and you should be able to check the archives)
Designer was supposed to get an OO overhaul a few years ago, but the OO stuff ended up being clipped into JDeveloper where it was immediately useful. Received on Sun May 25 2003 - 04:43:02 CEST
