Designer 9i: Repository reports not running

I can start the Repository Reports and then a nice tree with 10's of available reports are shown. When for instance I start the ckattdef report, after 10 minutes still nothing shows up. And the ERD only contains 17 entities.

The problem can be reproduced on 3 different computers.

The configuration is:
- Designer9i with patch

Repository in a 8.1.7 server

Can anyone give me a hint to where to look for an answer?
