Forms is a tricky development application. There are no decent books on it. And most of it will only come with experience. The trick is to use the right triggers in the right places. There are multitudes of triggers available in forms but there is perhaps a dozen or so that  you will constantly use. If you find yourself using any of the others - than it is likely you are using the wrong one or have stuctured the form incorrectly.
