Download Sybase's PowerDesigner (trial will give you 45 days I think) to see a great reverse engineering tool. I am anal and really like diagrams formatted so that no FK lines cross, go behind tables, etc. I do my best to fit the model on one 8 1/2 x 11 page while maintaining a readable font (data models with thousands of tables will need a bigger piece of paper). PD gets the job done a lot faster than other tools I have seen (ErWin--Computer Accosiates, ErStudio--Embarcadero).

Somehow the Sybase folks got this one right--and it works on any ODBC connected database. I would never use Visio if I had access to PD.
