You have the ODBC driver for Oracle: runs on top of SQLnet. ADO/Oledb driver for Oracle: ditto
Oracle Objects for Ole (aka OO4O) : native DAO like API, interfaces with sqlnet.
*All products can be used from VB*
In all cases you need an Oracle client and/or additional sw. For development purposes you can download everything for free from http://otn.oracle.com or order the CD for $40 or the local equivalent from the Oracle Store
