Hi,

We are using Oracle 9iAS Portal Servers and we have a F5 Load balance with SSL accelerator in front of the 9iAS machines (Windows 2000 Advanced Servers). The server e-Cert was installed on the F5 Load balance such that the 9iAS machines do not spend much workload on the SSL issues.

We have some portlets (JSP programs) on the Portal which will request some other Portlets on the same machine. This worked when we installed the e-Cert on the 9iAS. However, after we moved the e-Cert from 9iAS to the F5 Load Balancer, it seemed that there was problem on the communications between Portlet and Porlet. Unfortunately, the Portlet was not developed by ourselves. Therefore, we installed a temporary e-Cert on the 9iAS machine to solve the problem temporarily.

Now, both F5 Load Balancer and the 9iAS machines was installed e-Cert.

[Quoted] Can anyone tell me whether it is possible for the portlet and portlet communication on the same 9iAS machines without e-Cert installation? If so, how can we archive that?

Thanks a lot.
