[Quoted] Hi Everyone,

[Quoted]    I have a question. When you kill an Oracle session in Toad, Toad kills it, and BANG it's gone, it's removed from v$session. However, when I'm in SQL*PLus and issue the kill command the session hangs out in v$session until the user receives the "your session has been killed" message.

[Quoted] [Quoted]    HOW can I kill a session in the same manor as Toad? What does Toad do differently, that makes the session be removed from v$session instantly?

   Any info is appreciated.
   Thanks,
