Oracle Portal Webpages...

We are using Oracle Portal for our Software Engineering class to create a database driven website. The problem we are having is after creating the page in Portal, the web address is extreamly long. I'm talking http://machine.domain.com/servelts/page?=_test and so on and so on. I know right now our clients will not like this. My question is is there anyway to shorten the web address? The server is running on Red Hat Linux 7.1 using Apache. Let me know if you need any more information.
