I recommend you to use SQL*XL to get the data into Excel. You can then save it to any format you like including comma separated values or plain text files.
SQL*XL is an addin for Excel that takes the hassle out of accessing Oracle databases. It is neatly integrated into Excel. Have a look at it at www.oraxcel. For what you want to do it is free!
