Developer Server: Problem with webforms and MS-IE

We were running a forms 4.5 application as WebForms on Developer Server 1.5 with Forms server 4.5.8, OWS 2.1. on NT 4.0

We upgraded to 9iAS and Developer Server 1.6.1, running a Forms Server 4.5.10.16.1 on NT 4.0

We observed the following change when using MS-Internet Explorer 5.0 and 5.5 without jinitiator:

As the LOV opens, the list can be filtered by typing in values in the "find" field.

• previously, the "find" field had focus as the LOV opens
• in the new environment, the "find"-Field has to be clicked to receive focus.

The problem only appears when we use MS-IE.

I guess the difference is caused by the java runtime. We should run this application with JInitiator, but the behavior of the formsapplets v.4.5 is weird - we run our Webforms 6i with JInitiator.

Of course, we should migrate to Forms 6i to be in a supported environment.

Does anyone has a solution ?
