Start off by learning SQL first - it's the standard database language and is used in most major databases. You need it to use SQL*Plus as well as Oracle Forms and Reports. There are some free Oracle and SQL books at http://oes.mans.eun.eg/Books/index.HTM as well as at www.oracle.com. You can also get a free copy of Personal Oracle from Oracle's site.
