[Quoted] That's something which caused me mild consternation some time ago. The docs etc. indicated net80 but my experience has been that the net80 directory only appeared briefly with 8.0 something. All the 8.1 installations, both client and server, unix & Windows, I've done since have created tnsnames in the traditional network/admin directory - no net80 directory exists.
