Fast data import into oracle

[Quoted] Currently I am using two methods of importing data into an Oracle DB (on Unix)

1. OCI (API) through a c++ program
2. SQLLoader on unix box using comma separated files.

I have been told that there is another faster standard way of importing separated files into oracle from unix.

Direct load ?????

Can anyone point me in the right direction.
