Okay, you've piqued my curiosity. Are you a developer, or more to the point, what exactly are you doing to reach this ten minute wall -- is this ten minutes of connection time, or ten minutes of zero I/O? If you need a heartbeat, simply bring up the monitor page and set the display refresh to five minutes.

Production, QA, or development database? Is this rule consistent to others in your category / department?

Have you a strong enough business case (why an exception makes economic sense) to take to his or her supervisor?

Then again, if you are a developer, what are you doing in a production database in the first place?

Curious minds want to know....
