RMan installation and usage
RMAN (Recovery Manager) is Oracle's backup and recovery DBA tool. Although you don't have to use this tool for your backup and recovery plan, some companies expect you to know it (for some DBA jobs) and it can make your life as a DBA easier.

Buffer Cache size advice
New in Oracle 9i: Buffer cache size advice.. This handy new feature will be included in Oracle 9i's Enterprise Manager. Its always best when the final choice isn't taken away from the DBA, but advice is available.
