If you enable the Beta Feature option "Image Charts From Query Wizard" in Oracle Portal (Administer tab - Services section - Global Settings) you can plot typical business charts (line charts, pie charts,... ), which are generated on the fly as gif-images. Limitation: data source must be a table, no views allowed, no where condition allowed (at least in 9iAS Version 1.0.2.0; no idea about this feature in release 1.0.2.1 / 1.0.2.2)
