11i dot matrix printer compatibility - advice please

Oracle has informed me that there are compatibility issues with them but I heard another story somewhere that lead me to believe it may be possible.
We use:
EPSON DFX-5000+

OKIDATA'S
Any suggestions or guidance with this would be extremely helpful.
