OLE2 in Reports

Hello All!
I have MS Word documents stored in Oracle DB as BLOBs. Now I need to create a report to print them out. I'm trying to follow Reports documentation, and if i understood it correctly, i did the following: create a query in Data Model view (actually, 'select doc from t_blob' where doc is a blob field), then set 'File Format' property to 'OLE2', and created layout. In Preview it happened to blank. The question is WHY? Or may be it shouldn't work in that way at all?
I also have another question regarding OLE2 package: Suppose, i have file name stored in Oracle DB instead of file itself. Then i create a Data Model in Reports. and set 'Read from File' property to 'Yes'. In this case my Word document is displayed correctly, but i want to change it (or some its properties) programmatically. Can i do that? May be you know some example?
