Cognos Impromptu (and PowerPlay) are direct competitors to Oracle Discoverer. A lot of people are using Cognos tools.
I have used both Discoverer and Impromptu. If you are using PowerPlay too, I think Cognos wins, but if you are just using Impromptu, Discoverer wins.... in my opinion.
