Can't speak to whether Oracle Express supports MDX as it has been more than [Quoted] [Quoted] four years since I worked with the product. But I deeply resent, just on appearances alone, the implication that because Microsoft does something it [Quoted] is the standard. In the world of OLAP tools Microsoft is the late-comer and [Quoted] the only thing industrial strength about it is the marketing hyperbole.

[Quoted] The main strength of Oracle Express against anything sold by Microsoft is that you can actually host it on a platform scalable enough to use the product with a database of any reasonable size.

OLAP tools are very time consuming to load and require massive amounts of disk space. Win2000 just doesn't have the horsepower unless the database you [Quoted] are working on is a small one.
