  1. You can use only the TNS name with the Bequerel protocol (I don't remember the name). The others work only with SQL Net servers (Personal Oracle is not that kind).
  2. Try to use the default "2:" alias when connecting to database. This is not a real alias, and work only with Personal Oracle. It means "localhost".
