Hi

Is it really true that Oracle Forms 6i whith Patch1 is certified and SUPPORTED under windows 2000 ???
A little "Funny" Story....

I'm making an export of my registry in a text file (whith a host('regedit /E'...) and not
with Oracle functions, because it doesn't work properly under Citrix) ...
Forms can't read this file properly (it gives me back somethink like ÿþW on the
first line and nothing after) BUT NOTEPAD CAN !!! ....
Local french support is magic...after one month, only answer is 'I will have a w2k machine in a few days' (but Christmas was last month or in eleven maybe....),
3 recalls after, the answer is 'It works well'....(but under a Win9x or Win NT4 system....)
The only answer I have for this time is 'if you export whith the regedit4 format it will be good and
we are thinking that tere should be maybe (normally, it would be a goog idea an so on) an option for the command line for using this format' (we made the test together, I'm the only one who have a w2k system). So the support solution is : see with Microsoft if you can make an export in regedit4 whith command-line
The facts are :
1-I have no other solution than waiting for an answer of Microsoft on an

undocumented command line flag (and hoping that it exists)
2-Forms can't read a text file (that notepad can), but it isn't a problem :
the support had closed the tar (without saying me by the way)....(statistics
are powerfool I know that today...) because the solution is to see with anyone else.
3-If you want to work with Windows 2000, you MUST use Forms 6i Patch one, only
supported system....(but no Windows 2000 in support so help yourself....) 4-Oracle News answer : if you have a tar on it, wait their answer.....(well,I'm going to be very old I think)

If someone was patient enough to read everything, I have 2 questions
-if you had this type of problem, what have you done (except writing a
program with another languge for reading the registry)
-the most important one : Is there a place where you could have an answer on
w2k and Forms ?
