Hello,

I am having problems trying to get the Oracle objects for OLE registered on client machines. I have an application that uses Oracle OLE and on my machine everything works fine:

Windows NT service Pack 5, Oracle client 8.1.6

But on another machine:

Windows NT service Pack 4 or 6a, Oracle client 8.0

It will not work; I keep getting the error when I try to initialize the object:

Set oOracleSession = CreateObject ("OracleInProcServer.XOraSession")

I have no idea on how to fix this. I really need help on this issue.

Do you know if ADO will work with connecting to Oracle version 7.x to current? If it will then I would just use ADO instead on Oracle OLE. The program is basically reading system tables.

Please give a hand and my deadline is drawing near and I am completely stuck on this one.

Thanks,

Kev.- Received on Wed Jan 17 2001 - 21:52:30 CET
