Oracle create a default database, you can see it in Panel Control, Services, OracleServiceORCL.

If you try for example :
sqlplus sys/change_on_install

You have to check with the regedit in
[Quoted] Hkey_local_machine/sofware/oracle/home0 that the default database has been created : you see 4 variables with xxx_ORCL_xxx.
