Designer problem Am I missing something?

I have Designer 6 with patch set 5 installed. I created a module with several module components based on several tables. I then discovered that I needed to make a change to the server model of one the tables that the module was based on however after making the change the module component still had the old value. Shouldn't changes made in a table definition update any corresponding module components based on that table?
