The default Dev2K install on Windows98 works fine if you are connecting to a
database on your server. If you are having problems, get your dba to look at
your tnsnames file.
However, if you are connecting to Personal Oracle8i also on your PC, then
there are some problems trying to connect using Dev2K. The first of which
is: you have to install Dev2K first, the Personal Oracle8i. That, plus a few
corrections in tnsnames.ora, and you should be able to connect to PO8i fine.
If that is your situation, let me know and I will dig up the steps I used.
