Hello;
After an upgrade of ORACLE 7.3.3 to Oracle 7.3.4.5.0 and using ORACLES'
utility
svrmgrl to start up oracle instance, it starts, mounts, & opens instance
but takes 15-20 seconds to return to O/S for next command. The same occurs
when using Oracles' SQLPLUS command.
UNIX command TOP shows kernal at 70%-80% / user at 20% load average running 11.n to 18.n. Upgraded from Oracle Character Mode forms on this Production box to users using TNS into an NT server to obtain GUI forms leaving no users on server with oracle instance with exception of report users, 16-20 users max.
