I remember somewhat 10 years ago when we still had Oracle RDBMS 5 there was a SQL*Forms version 2.0 and 2.3. For making reports we used RPT and RPF or just SQL*Plus. Later when Oracle RDBMS 6 was released, SQL*Forms was upgraded to version 3.0 and RPT/RPF was replaced by Oracle*Reports 1.0. All was character based with a very primitive gui. It was often much easier to 'hack the code' manual although it wasn't recommended by Oracle. This was also the period when Oracle CASE 5 was introduced (whatever happende to release 4 and earlier??) After that Oracle7, Forms 4, quikly followed by release 4.5, and Reports 2.5, all with a more advanced gui were released and Oracle CASE became Oracle Designer(/2000). That was about 3 or 4 years ago. I don't exactly remember the releasedates of all the products anymore.
