Architecture for splitting Interface and application logic layers with OAS

Hi,

[Quoted] I currently have a application running on Oracle Application Server using the htp package and all HTML is generated by stored procedures. I now want to start on a more complex project and need a way of spliting the interface logic from the application logic in such a way that I can keep the static HTML as HTML files (to reduce DB load) and have it interact with the application logic which generates any dynamic bits. Can this be done using Web Alchemy?
Any ideas or links to sites where this is described?
