The major difference between Forms6i and Forms6 is that 6i has been optimized for the web, in that it controls communcation with the database more efficiently. This in turn, makes your application run faster on the web. As for patches, they both have patches. Forms 6 is up to patch 7 and 6i already has patch 1 in development. 6i includes all of the fixes in 6 up to patch 4a. Patch 1 to Forms 6i will include all the fixes up to patch 7 as well as some new bug fixes.
