[Quoted] Thanks Don for the reply. I am still looking for the solution. Yes, client is MS machine. But I am not using Microsoft drivers. I have tried ODBC drivers with Oracle 8i cleint, and also from Intersolv also

Hi,
[Quoted] I am facing problems in configuring ODBC drivers on my m/c. I want to access DB residing in Oracle 8 and Oracle 8i on UNIX. At my machine (client), I have installed Oracle 8i client (including ODBC driver, SQL Net etc.).I am able to access data through SQL Plus. But using ODBC driver, I am not able to access database. I have also installed Oracle 7 client (SQL *Net & ODBC drivers). But still same problem comes.
tnsping (connectstring) gives ok.

Following error comes, when i try to connect using ODBC DSN : SQL STATE : 01000
Native Error Code : 444
Driver Message: The driver returned invalid (or failed to return) SQL_DRIVER_ODBC_VER: 03.50 It'll be a great help , if sombody can give some idea to solve this.

TIA
Pawan
