I tried building an "application" with WebDB. It worked to some degree.

I am in the process of building a compainion tool to WebDB the tool that I am building integrates well with WebDB and also by itself. The tool that I have built builds forms that are more like sqlforms. I have event triggers etc... If you are intereseted, let me know...
