(Attempting to install EM for the fourth time - it
already wrecked my client tools, and I uninstalled them, and deleted them, to be added later if necessary - EM comes with sqlplus anyway - and I didn't want to try to troubleshoot path/classpath issues of having multiple HOMEs)

I removed all my 8.0.5 stuff, because I want to use 8i EM (Enterprise Manager) - which I don't have for 8.0.5.

I got the 8i from oracle's web site, for development.

[Quoted] The install said that the optional component Configuration Assistant
(perhaps Manager Server Configuration Assistant,
I'm not sure)
failed, because file or path was not found.

I believe that the Configuration Assistant is necessary to create the repository for EM, so I believe this means this is another installation failure.

I'm on NT 4.0, sp6a, using Oracle 8i EM zip downloaded from the web site 2000/03/28.

When I uninstall, I run the uninstall from the Universal Installer, and then I delete
HKLM\Software\Oracle and HKCU\Software\Oracle and I delete the OraHome directory, and
Program Files\Oracle directory

Any suggestions or tips ?????
