Eh? Recap:
* Wingate functions as a firewall (some special settings required which I always forget)
* you can tnsping correctly (from where - inside (172...) or out (212)?) * you cannot connect using same params??? Odd, very odd. Do you have a version conflict? Do you use V7 and V8 tools together? Give some version# on tnsping and the Oracle tools.
