Internet mail and reports 2.5

I'm writing an application in f4.5 and am trying to get a report written in reports 2.5 to automatically be emailed. I've managed to get the mail service (netscape) window to show with the report attached, but I've got two problems:
1) I want the mail to be sent automatically without user intervention ( so how do I pass the destination address into the report as a parameter if this can be done?)
and
2)I'm having trouble reading the file either in PDF or HTML format. The file reports creates doesnt isnt recognised by the ADOBE reader or the browser.

I understand that reports 6 handles this scenarion ok, but can it be done with reps 2.5?
