I have a Forms 4.5 application. Following the guidelines of MetaLink document 1015932.4, I packaged together the files necessary to create a deployment CD. Thus, I used the files that were in the \EXTRAS\DEPLOY directory of my Developer v1.3.2 CD, including Oracle Installer version 3.1.4.1.2. These files reside in a directory on my network, and I use them whenever I need to create a deployment CD.

Since then, however, I have learned that Installer version 3.1.4.1.2 is not Y2K-compliant. I downloaded Installer version 3.3.1.1.0C from MetaLink.

My question is: How do I update the collection of installation files so that the deployment CDs I create will have the newer version of the installer on them?

First, the directory structures of the new and old versions are different. The new version has an \INSTALL directory and an \NLB directory below it. In contrast, the old version has \FORWIN95 and FORWINNT directories, with multiple subdirectories below each one.

For example, OINCS.MSB resides in the \INSTALL directory of the new version. However, it resides in the \FORWIN95 and \FORWINNT directories of the old version. Should I copy the new version of each file to the same directory as it exists in the old version? If the answer is yes, is there a document that lists the destination directory for each file? Otherwise, I will have to spend a lot of time searching for the proper directory for each file.

Second, what about new files that do not exist in the old version? What directory should they be copied to? For example, OHSELCS.DLL and OHSELD.DLL reside in the \INSTALL directory of the new version. However, they do not exist at all in the old version.

[Quoted] Thanks in advance for your help.
