Installing Oracle Applications 10.7 (Financials) on Windows NT4 ( service pack 5)

I am new to Oracle applications 10.7 but am an experienced DBA. I installed Oracle RDBMS 7.3.4.0.0 and have created the complete list of tablespaces for Oracle applications. After completing the pre-installation tasks such as setting the Appl_top directory, checking the Oracle home and Oracle SID etc I tried running Autoinstall (Adaimgr.exr) but get the following error; "error in aidosv() at afuopen()" "the error occurred while verifying the parameter file with applora.txt".

I then tried skipping the first step which compares the applora.txt file but I got the error "The following file is missing d:\appl107\fnd\6.1\admin\fndfile.drv" . The folder "6.1" does not exist under e:\appl107\fnd on the CD. Can anyone help?. Why am I getting the first error and does this have anything to do with why Autoinstall is searching for a folder that does not exist on the CD. Or is my CD a bad one?. Any help will be most appreciated.
