Performance with FMX converted in Java on the Net

We plan to use Developer 2000 to convert FMX source (initially developed for two tiers client server apps) into java applet and deploy them on Internet. Anybody out there has experienced this approach? We are particularly concerned with final performances (response time); Thanks for your help and advice.
