Designer / Devloper Wont talk

Hi,

I have a copy of Designer 2.1.2 and Developer 2., however they dont talk.

I am told that I need a patch called 'the October patch' but I have searched my way through technet and find a think about it.

Does any body know where to find a copy of this patch.

I wold be eternally gratful for any assistance.
