I presume you mean a connection via SQLNet, which can be achived by using the OpenLink MT Drivers in 'Application Server' mode which means installing the client and Server components on the client machine ie Linux in this case, and conifure the OpenLink Oracle database agent ot use SQLNet to connect to the remote database. This can easily be done by setting up an appropraite tns service name and specify this as a connect option to the OpenLink Driver.
