Tools for production simulation ?

I'm working in an aplication with many tables, indexes, and so on. We need to simulate production environment. We want to do some heavy tests to see how the aplication will respond in production.

Is there any tools to do this kind of thing ? and FREE tools ? A tool that simulates user, operations, inserts, ...
