The way I do it is to cut and paste all prog units into a new library and convert the lib to a text file (.pld) then search that!!

I agree, Oracle really have not produced the goods here...Its a half-hearted attempt that drags down the product overall..the search facility is no better than forms 4.5 - actually it's worse because it GPFs all the time, so much so that I *never* use it.
