Changing Page Width of Character Mode Report

Hi,
I have to modify a character mode report from 132 columns to 180 columns using Report Designer 2.5. However when I am trying to change the column number in the properties sheet of the report, the system fail to run the report and saying that one of the frame in the report is not enclosed by the 'Body'.
I have also tried to change the page width from 13.xxx inch to 19.xxx inch. The report can run but generate wrong result. The report is shrink and cannot give the layout as shown in the report designer.
Can anyone tell me how to change the page width the character mode report in report designer 2.5?
