[Quoted] Is the Query Length field for the item set long enough? Maybe it is related to the fact that it is a non-Base-Table field. Actually, [Quoted] setting the description during Enter-Query mode would quite possibly cause the query to fail.
[Quoted] Try changing the LOV so the description is not returned, and instead, in a When-Validate-Item trigger, look up the description.
