OS : NT4.0
[Quoted] Restrictions : Policy strategy on the NT-PC-Client (inc. Registry access).

I have some information under 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\....' which i [Quoted] try to read with WIN_API_ENVIRONMENT.ReadRegistry(). This works fine on [Quoted] my Development-PC where i have full access on the registry, but on the [Quoted] normal User-PC i'm only getting the error 'Cannot read Registry Entry [Quoted] ....' (The registry contains the values and the spelling is correct).

[Quoted] The easiest way would be to change the policy strategy, but there's no [Quoted] way to do it.

Some guy told me that in Windows programming you have to specify how you [Quoted] read the registry (something like different kind of read permissions). [Quoted] The WIN_API_ENVIRONMENT-Package doesn't provide such a functionality and [Quoted] i'm wondering if there's an other way to read the Registry in Forms, where i could try to specify this "Read-Level". Any Ideas, comments, suggestions, sampels, etc. ????????

TIA
eugen
