Reports 3.0: How to display db errors in a MessageBox?

Does anyone know how to display a simple Windows MessageBox in Reports? I'd simply like to display any database errors that occur in my AfterParameterform trigger. I can trap the error code and message, and I can store them in the db. I can even use srw.message, but srw.message prefixes the Oracle message with MSG-nnnn, which comes out pretty ugly.

For that matter, any suggestion about handling db errors in general would be welcome, too.
