Hi,

I have the same problem but only when I include the inso filter in the index parameters
eg.
create index index_name on table_name(url) indextype is ctxsys.context parameters ('datastore ctxsys.url_datastore filter ctxsys.inso_filter');

The index is created but the ctx_user_index_errors view complains that he can't find these files.
These are temporary files which are used to build up the index, for instance from pdf file to text file.

Following is NT stuff, but should also work for Unix flavours

there is a little program in ORACLE_HOME\ctx\bin that does this trick of converting documents to text files: called ctxhx. These works fine IF you define a environment variable %ORACLE_HOME%.

My query however doesn't return any values as there are errors in the index, setting ORACLE_HOME didn't work either. I must admit I have several Oracle homes (Oracle8i, webdb, OAS4, ...) so mayby there is a little problem concerning Oracle_home registry settings?

If I don't include the filter parameter in the create index statement, interMedia work just fine, apart from the markup option that is, but these need to use the filter too I think.

If anyone has any idea to get the index working with an inso filter, I would be gratefull if he can sent me the answer.

Thanks

Wim
