This is a follow up of my 'Reports 2.5 Unix runs for one ORACLE_SID, but not for another...' in this newsgroup.
We get
ORA-24365 error in character conversion
during the connect phase of Oracle Reports 2.5. The database is Oracle 8.0.4 and uses the WE8ISO8859P1 character set, while another 8.0.4 that uses US7ASCII gives us no problem. www.dejanews.com shows some posts about trying to set NLS_LANG to no avail. One other post states that it was caused by incorrect permisions on the $ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/nls directory. And some post in Oracle's MetaLink simply state that the error occurs a lot when trying to use old OCIs to connect to Oracle 8 databases.
I can only investigate these things next thing tomorrow morning, but wonder if anyone has other suggestions I should check as well...
Thanks in advance,
Arjan.
